Purpose of the job:

Management of all operational people/processes & products to meet business demand for the Site. This role reports to the Senior Operations Director, FP Trays


Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Health & Safety of employees and visitors at the site and that all KP safety rules are followed
  • Ensure Best in Class Quality & Service, while obtaining a competitive cost base
  • Accurate budgetary control, forecasting & management
  • Continuous improvement of all relevant operations metrics (e.g. Material Balance, Output/ Manhour, OEE%, DPMO, …)
  • Manage multi-disciplined teams including training, discipline, development and morale


Management responsibility:

Up to 7 direct reports, and high numbers of indirect reports that fluctuate depending on demand

Will manage professional & technical employees plus skilled and semi-skilled labor
 

Strategic impact:

Will influence CAPEX and Divisional strategy as well as business strategy for Trays segment.
 

Functional knowledge and technical skills within own and other areas:

 

  • Previous experience of Operational Management essential
  • Technical process skills and understanding of production capabilities
  • Extensive experience in dealing with worker representatives and the local union
  • Excellent knowledge of Continuous Improvement Techniques and processes (Six Sigma, Lean, TPM, Total Quality Management)
  • Highly developed management skills with the capability to manage numerous functions
  • Solid Financial Understanding
  • Experience in cooperating with all stakeholders (e.g. Sales, Customer Service, Group Functions, …)
  • Customer focused

 

Your Profile:

  • Educated to degree level in Engineering or similar with 5-10 years relevant management experience in operations
  • Proficient in English language
  • Excellent ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional, cross-regional and matrix organizations.
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset and ability to think strategically
  • Demonstrates creativity in technical problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Possess sound decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to take complex topics and focus on key messages.
  • Solid analytical and critical thinking skills
