Continuous Improvement & Project Engineer

Reports to: Site Manager
The Role
Reporting to the Site Manager, you’ll drive continuous improvement and lead the site’s capital investment (CAPEX) projects at our Verona plant. You’ll identify and deliver initiatives that improve efficiency, quality, safety and sustainability across manufacturing – and coordinate CAPEX projects end to end, on time, on budget and to spec. Working closely with the Site Manager and cross-functional teams, you’ll be a key driver of operational excellence and a real influence on the site’s manufacturing strategy.
What You’ll Do
- Lead continuous improvement projects across the manufacturing environment, analysing processes, data and KPIs to find and deliver optimisation opportunities.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and improvement initiatives, and support performance monitoring and action planning.
- Foster employee engagement and a culture focused on excellence and results.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor site CAPEX projects, ensuring compliance with budget, timelines and technical specifications.
- Support business cases and the technical and economic evaluation of investment projects.
- Manage suppliers, consultants and contractors across all project phases – from feasibility through installation, testing, start-up and handover of new equipment or process changes.
- Ensure all activities comply with company and group standards for safety, quality and environmental requirements.
What You’ll Bring
- A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Materials or equivalent).
- 3–5 years’ experience in manufacturing, ideally in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence or Project Engineering.
- Experience managing industrial projects and coordinating cross-functional activities.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, a hands-on and proactive approach, and good written and spoken English.
