We're looking for a passionate and dedicated HSE Advisor to join our dynamic team based in St Helens. At our company, we understand the vital role Health and Safety plays in our operations, and we need someone who can make a real impact. What You'll Do:

As our HSE Advisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the UK HSE Manager and the Site Leadership team to implement initiatives and improvements.
  • Leading training sessions, conducting monthly reviews, and maintaining up-to-date Risk Assessment matrices.
  • Conducting audits to ensure compliance with our systems and applicable legislation.
  • Managing management systems to maintain site certification against relevant standards and legal requirements.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in HSE standards.
  • Working closely with site teams to provide coaching and drive effective problem resolution.
  • Undertaking other tasks as directed.

 

Management Responsibility:

You'll be responsible for assessments and compliance across all areas of the site.

 

Strategic Impact:

Work with the UK HSE Manager to help develop the site's strategy for the next 2-5 year plan.

 

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • A strong educational background and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • NEBOSH certificate or working towards NEBOSH Diploma.
  • HSE background with an awareness of relevant management systems (ISO14001, 45001, BRC) and their implementation.
  • Proficiency in Risk Analysis methodology.
  • Experience leading action teams in a modern manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent coaching and team working skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize your work and meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • High personal and professional standards with a positive, proactive attitude.
  • A valid driver's license.

 

Educational Requirements/Qualifications and Experience:

  • NEBOSH certificate and working towards NEBOSH Diploma.
  • Environmental Certificate.

  • Hands on approach to safety
  • Assertive with a positive attitude and a drive to challenge the status quo and foster improvement.
  • Familiarity with systematic problem-solving and analysis techniques.

  • Facilitation of the development of appropriate new systems and procedures.
