Summary: 
Directs and coordinates activities of operational production department(s) in processing materials or manufacturing products in industrial organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Design, coordinate, & directs activities of the plant towards exceeding of established goals through the following: 
•    Production Meetings and KPI Reviews
•    Review and Analyze: Daily activity reports, accident/damage reports, absentee reports, overtime requests, evaluations of all production personnel, vacation requests, disciplinary notices of all production personnel, weekly team meetings, trip reports. 
        
Establish and enforce all safety measures and assures that all are followed through the following: 
•    Daily production meetings, KPI Reviews. 
•    Observing work habits daily, providing direction and guidance to include training in such cases as warranted. Review of all accident reports to include follow up of suggested corrective actions. Works closely with the safety manager on site in each case.  

Ensure all production goals are met through the following: 
•    Daily production meetings, KPI meetings and daily review of activity reports and charts posted each month.

Coordinate production, distribution, and warehousing in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by the Regional Operations Manager through the following: 
•    Daily meetings, KPI meetings 

Confer with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in area through the following: 
•    Customer correspondences, quality alerts, internal communications and outside correspondences. Develops contacts through networking. 

Develop plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees through the following: 
•    Daily meetings, Scorecard meetings


Reviews production costs and product quality, and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division through the following: 

•    Reviews operations of competing organizations.
•    Develop annual Personnel, Capital, Production and departmental budgets.and present budgets to senior management. 
•    Charts and analyzes all critical operational budgets and goals to success.
•    Monitors and adjust labor requirements to keep in line with the strength of the business.
•    Overall responsibility/accountability for productivity, rework, scrap, and net plant yields.
•    Utilizes strong technical skills relative to Mixing, Calendering, Slitting, Extrusion, and tentering to direct problem-solving efforts.
•    Manages the overall functionality/maintenance of all plant production equipment.
•    Manage all established plant budgets and goals to include productivity, yields, rework, scrap, quality, safety, absenteeism, and turnover.
•    Initiate employee development and growth for success.

Supervisory Responsibilities:         
                         
Manages multiple subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 250 -300 employees. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of site operational units. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
 
Qualifications: Experience, Competencies and Education 
•    5-10 years of management / supervisory experience in manufacturing environment, having shown progressive leadership and potential.  Preferred: Previous Management Roles in the areas of Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain Management, Quality Management, or Maintenance Management.
•    Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in plastics manufacturing with operational focus on extrusion, slitting, and calender line operations.
•    Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or similar.


Language Skills:   
                            
•    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
•    Position requires fluency in English.

Reasoning Ability:                               

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:                               
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Database software; Design software; Development software; Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Order processing systems; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
