Purpose of the job:
kpBuS is the center of excellence within KP, nestled in the dynamic city of Porto, Portugal. As an integral part of the Shared Service Center, we extend our specialized services to over 50 entities spanning across Europe and North America. Fueled by an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement, our mission is to streamline and optimize financial processes, simplifying complex financial workflows to empower businesses to channel their energy towards sustainable growth. In addition to the existing services, a Procurement Center of Excellence (PCoE) is stablished in Porto in 2024 with the objective to strengthen kp’s Purchase-to-Pay process and to make us a stronger partner towards our suppliers.
kp is looking for a dynamic Procurement Center of Excellence (PCoE) Team Lead that supports and enhances procurement processes across the organization. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Procurement PCoE, managing a team of professionals, and collaborating with various stakeholders to drive procurement excellence
Your responsibilities:

Enable efficient operations and success in operational procurement processes (incl. deep knowledge about Purchase Requisition and Purchase Orders), leveraging your deep expertise in Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order management to drive efficiency and value creation

Manage contracts (Service Level Agreement (SLAs) / Operational Level Agreement (OLAs)) that align stakeholder expectations with operational capabilities

Takes ownership of managing demand owners and performance reporting to Center of Excellence (PCoE) while delivering comprehensive performance analytics and insights to the Center of Excellence leadership

Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives with measurable impact on key performance indicators (KPI), driving both quality enhancements and operational efficiencies

Lead and coach team members in Procurement back office execution, with a customer-oriented approach, developing team to efficiently handle processes in scope

Design and implement best-in-class onboarding programs and advanced training modules that accelerate team and plant capabilities

Create evaluations and presentations for leadership that showcase procurement value and strategic impact

Execute the PCoE procurement strategy in partnership with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and performance targets.

Collaborate with the leadership to support delivery of P2P/PCoE business case metrics aligned in December 2023
Your profile:

Proven leadership experience (4+ years) in procurement, with strong operational knowledge and a track record of process optimization and excellence

Advanced degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent qualification (preferred)

Professional working proficiency in English. Another European language (Portuguese, German, Italian, French, Polish, Spanish) preferred

Proveen success in building, mentoring, and developing high-performing procurement teams

Strategic mindset combined with exceptional stakeholder management capabilities across international environments

Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach.

Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels

Advanced Microsoft Suite skills, particularly in Excel for complex data analysis, PowerPoint for executive presentations, and Power BI for procurement analytics and visualization

Advanced proficiency in procurement systems (SAP and/or JDE) with the ability to leverage technology for process optimization
