We are looking for a Group Procurement Director to play a pivotal role in shaping and leading our procurement strategy, delivering value, and ensuring best-in-class processes.

 

The role

Are you ready to drive Procurement Excellence on a global scale? We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Group Procurement Director to shape the future of procurement at kp. This is a high-impact role, offering the opportunity to lead transformation, digitisation, and process optimisation across our global procurement function. As part of ONE Procurement this role will have a Business Partner aspect interfacing with multiple manufacturing sites and/or Functions.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • This role will have a wide-ranging mandate to seek out functional opportunities using own understanding of key market drivers, processes, best in class Procurement to create and seize business opportunities
  • Develop the Global P2P Process and enhance the Procurement Centre of Excellence to develop and deliver an increased portfolio of responsibility
  • Lead the Procurement Cash Management program in partnership with Finance
  • Develop further and drive ONE Procurement Function/program towards best-in-class excellence journey
  • Exploit and enhance current digital platforms:
    • Vendigital spend cube
    • eRFX
    • Negotiation by Design
    • Integrity Next
  • Develop/source tools and training to enable a step change in:
    • Category Strategy Development
    • Supplier Relationship Management
  • Procurement Manual owner. Procurement policy advisor.
  • Ad hoc projects as required from time-to-time
  • Managerial leadership of at least 2 staff

Education       

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/business/economics/other technical fields
  • Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply or Equivalent (preferred)

Skills / Personality

  • Broad Procurement experience > 12 years
  • Function and or Division/Business Unit Function leadership
  • Creating and executing influence strategies, training and coaching experience
  • Creating an environment (culture) that inspires people to generate novel solutions with measurable value, encouraging experimentation with new ways to seize opportunities
  • Strategic thinker with a vision yet pragmatic executioner
  • Project and Program Management experience
  • Change leadership; P2P rollout and enhancement experience
  • Driving high standards; tenaciously working to meet or exceed challenging goals
  • Procurement Category (plastics and Indirects) leadership of more than 5 years and annual spend responsibility of > €200 million
  • Minimum experience includes working in a manufacturing (ideally plastics conversion) industry and ideally one or two other sectors/companies recognized for "best in class" Procurement
  • Willingness and capacity to travel internationally
  • Fluent oral and written English & Portuguese (other languages are a plus)
  • Use of systems tools; Spend Analytics, eRFX, Business Warehouse, SAP, and Microsoft Office
