At Klöckner Pentaplast (kp), we are on a mission to drive procurement excellence, digital transformation, and sustainability across our global operations. We are looking for a Group Procurement Director to play a pivotal role in shaping and leading our procurement strategy, delivering value, and ensuring best-in-class processes.
The Role
As a key leader in our ONE Procurement initiative, you will shape procurement strategy, develop cutting-edge tools and training, and enhance supplier relationships. You will also take ownership of a major materials category, leading a €100m+ annual spend while managing a high-performing team.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Lead ONE Procurement – strengthen and expand our unified procurement function, driving effectiveness across the organisation.
- Shape category strategy & supplier relationships – develop training, tools, and frameworks to enhance Category Strategy Development and Supplier Relationship Management.
- Advance procurement digitalisation – optimise and leverage platforms such as Vendigital spend cube, Scanmarkets eRFX, Negotiation canvass, and P2P.
- Sustainability leadership – align procurement strategy with corporate ESG goals (Ecovadis, Sustainalytics) and build a mid-term plan to drive measurable progress.
- Strategic procurement leadership – oversee €100m annual spend (Polyolefins Europe), manage procurement governance (Procurement Manual), and drive ad hoc strategic projects.
- Cross-functional partnership – act as a key business partner to multiple manufacturing sites and functions, ensuring procurement is embedded in overall business strategy.
- People leadership – manage and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

- Master Degree in Economics/Business/Chemistry/Polymers
- Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply
What You Bring

10+ years of commercial experience, including leadership in procurement or business functions.

Proven track record in procurement category leadership (plastics & indirects), managing €200m+ in spend.

Experience in manufacturing (ideally plastics conversion) and other best-in-class procurement environments

Strong background in change leadership, digital transformation, and supplier management.

Ability to influence senior stakeholders, driving strategic outcomes.

Fluency in English & Portuguese (German/French preferred) and willingness to travel internationally.

Advanced expertise in Spend Analytics, eRFX, SAP, and procurement digital tools.
