Purpose of the Job

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Account Manager to drive the growth of our customer accounts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, expanding relationships within customer organizations to enable cross-selling, and fostering business growth.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Account Portfolio Management: Oversee and develop your portfolio of customer accounts.
  • Objective Setting and Achievement: Set and meet objectives for your account portfolio.
  • Market Research: Conduct and manage market research to increase market penetration and sales potential.
  • Sales Forecasting: Develop and maintain systems with customers to improve the reliability of sales forecasts.
  • Customer Service: Create and implement systems and processes to manage and resolve customer service issues, leveraging internal and external knowledge.
  • Relationship Building: Facilitate and maintain effective working relationships within and outside the business.
  • Commercial Process Adherence: Maintain adherence to company commercial processes using required tools and systems (Salesforce/NPPI/NOC).
  • Project Management: Manage specific projects as assigned.
  • Market Data Analysis: Collate and analyze market data to inform business strategies.

 

Functional Knowledge and Technical Skills:

  • Sales Experience: Proven sales experience in the packaging sector is essential.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to solve problems effectively.
  • Decision Making: Ability to make sound business decisions in complex situations.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Relationship Building: Skilled in building and influencing relationships cross-functionally within a complex matrix environment.

 

Educational Requirements/Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree: Educated to degree standard or equivalent.
  • IT Skills: Proficient in CRM systems (preferably Salesforce), Windows NT, MS Office, Outlook, Excel, and Access Database.
