We are currently looking for a Business Excellence Manager within our Food Packaging division. The main purpose of this role is to drive Best Practice sharing and a harmonized approach towards Business Excellence across the site and to drive implementation of Lean/Six Sigma & Change Management Projects (TPM). This role will report to the Site Director with dotted line to PMO Director and will be based out of Pontivy.
 

Tasks and Responsibilities:
 

  • Support the rollout of strategic operational excellence initiatives across the Segments (e.g., TPM, Management for daily improvement, SPC).
  • Deliver the yearly Savings Targets (~2% of Production Costs)
  • Identify and drive improvement opportunities (e.g., efficiency, material balance, yield) with local teams conducting pilot lines, standardizing, and ensuring data quality, mentoring of Six Sigma & Lean Projects, following up CI Projects and initiatives supporting complex data analysis.
  • Implement an aligned Operational Excellence approach in close cooperation with the Division Head of Business Excellence (Trainings, Project Management, Project Follow up, OEE Audits, …)
  • Support the Organizational Structure & Development of the Segments BEX Organization.
  • Will participate in strategy decisions and will influence the results

 

Functional knowledge and technical skills within own and other areas:
 

  • Previous experience of production processes essential
  • Technical process skills and understanding of production capabilities.
  • Good hands-on knowledge of Continuous Improvement Techniques and implementation
  • Understand Project Selection and implementation to meet the business objective.

 

Educational requirements/qualifications and experience:

 

  • Educated to degree level in Engineering or similar or working towards a qualification.
  • Six Sigma Black belt qualified or working to this goal.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in operations.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience in training and coaching people
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Shows initiative, the desire to drive change and is motivated to exceed expectations
  • Excellent communication skills in English and preferably second language
