We are currently looking for a Business Excellence Manager within our Food Packaging division. The main purpose of this role is to drive Best Practice sharing and a harmonized approach towards Business Excellence across the site and to drive implementation of Lean/Six Sigma & Change Management Projects (TPM). This role will report to the Site Director with dotted line to PMO Director and will be based out of Pontivy.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Support the rollout of strategic operational excellence initiatives across the Segments (e.g., TPM, Management for daily improvement, SPC).
- Deliver the yearly Savings Targets (~2% of Production Costs)
- Identify and drive improvement opportunities (e.g., efficiency, material balance, yield) with local teams conducting pilot lines, standardizing, and ensuring data quality, mentoring of Six Sigma & Lean Projects, following up CI Projects and initiatives supporting complex data analysis.
- Implement an aligned Operational Excellence approach in close cooperation with the Division Head of Business Excellence (Trainings, Project Management, Project Follow up, OEE Audits, …)
- Support the Organizational Structure & Development of the Segments BEX Organization.
- Will participate in strategy decisions and will influence the results
Functional knowledge and technical skills within own and other areas:
- Previous experience of production processes essential
- Technical process skills and understanding of production capabilities.
- Good hands-on knowledge of Continuous Improvement Techniques and implementation
- Understand Project Selection and implementation to meet the business objective.
Educational requirements/qualifications and experience:
- Educated to degree level in Engineering or similar or working towards a qualification.
- Six Sigma Black belt qualified or working to this goal.
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in operations.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Experience in training and coaching people
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Shows initiative, the desire to drive change and is motivated to exceed expectations
- Excellent communication skills in English and preferably second language
