kp is currently looking for a Product Line Specialist, Consumer Health in our Pharma, Health & Protection and Durables Division. The Product Line Specialist, Consumer Health plays a central role in ensuring the competitiveness and long-term success of Klöckner Pentaplast’s Consumer Health portfolio.  This role can be based either in Montabaur, Germany or Porto, Portugal and can be done partly from home. 

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Product P&L analysis including the assessment of sales volume, profitability, and the overall health of each product in the portfolio.
  • Manages portfolio performance though the discontinuance of underperforming products and by recommending pricing and manufacturing strategies that improve product profitability.
  • Competitive portfolio benchmarking including the identification of gaps in both the market, as well as within kp’s Consumer Health portfolio.
  • Provides Product Line Management leaders with product line extension opportunities based on market and competitive analysis
  • Ensures new product variants are technically and financially feasible while also aligning to portfolio strategy.
  • Closely monitors the introduction and performance of non-standard products. Works closely with Commercial and Operational teams to find the most profitable and efficient products to meet customer requirements.
  • Management and organization of all Marketing collateral and Technical documentation for the portfolio including Product Specifications, Technical Datasheets, Sales Decks, Sales Sheets, etc. 
  • Subject matter expert and primary Product Line Management contact supporting Account Management, Business Development, Applications, and Customer Service with product line expertise.
  • Works closely with Marketing staff to provide product-specific content for print and electronic advertising campaigns, and product literature, presentations and sales tools, as well as product positioning ideas for trade show strategy development.

Who we are looking for:

You might be a match with a Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in business, marketing, sciences or engineering and two to four years’ experience in related Industry.

 

More requirements:

  • First experiences with product and/or portfolio management in a manufacturing company.
  • Ability to communicate, open-mindedly, to be part of a cross functional global team. 
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. 
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics.
  • Fluent language skills in English (verbal and written)
  • Strong analytical skills with previous experience using spreadsheets (Excel, esp. pivot functions) and data visualization tools (PowerBI) to develop data-based recommendations..
