Job Summary: 

The Director Supply Chain Management EMEA  leads the supply chain activities in our  Pharma and Durables Division across the Europe/Asia region. This position leads the regional supply chain team and develops supply chain strategies in close alignment with the Manufacturing, Plant SCM leaders, and Sales. As a Director Supply Chain Management EMEA, you will be responsible for supply chain oversite including planning, inventory (raw and finished goods), implementing and monitoring our overall supply chain strategy within the region in order to maximize efficiency and productivity.

 

Job Responsibilities:       

  • Implement global supply chain strategies within the region for PHD to optimize business model and identify customer-enhancing value propositions.
  • Management of finished and raw material inventory to ensure kp system accuracy against physical inventory to ensure targets are met.
  • Create and foster a high-performance culture, focused on engagement, accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and a sense of urgency.
  • Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning and forecasting.
  • Assist in defining, streamlining, and standardizing all supply chain procedures and processes globally.
  • Coordinate planning and execution of the regional supply chain and capacity utilization of PHD in collaboration with manufacturing and plant SCM leaders within the region.  
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams.
  • Collaborate across various geographical regions (domestic & international) with various departments including sales, finance, and operations to obtain and analyze data for proforma supply chain models.
  • Utilize root cause and other continuous improvement methodologies to drive sustainable results.
  • Identify process bottlenecks, problems, recommend, and execute creative/innovative solutions in a timely manner.
  • Participate in/lead projects to improve service to customers, operational efficiency, and reduce/control costs. 
  • Assist management with network distribution optimization.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO and KP standards/policies for all supply chain activities within the region.
  • Participate in and lead meetings to manage expedited materials, major projects, and resolve problems. 
  • Lead and assist in group-based project management to improve process efficiency, service quality, and costs.
  • Assist management with network distribution optimization.
  • Supports sites with tools and processes to optimize supply chain.
  • Provide developmental training and evaluate others.
     

Knowledge/Education

  • A relevant qualification or formal training and experience
  • Extensive experience in the area of Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Inventory and Warehousing in a multi-site environment, preferred international experience.

 

Job Skill Requirements:

  • Highly self-motivated person driven to provide customer service.
  • Knowledge of the end-to-end Supply Chain and Production processes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ERP and Microsoft Office systems and processes.
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills working with Operations, Sales, Finance, Customer Service departments to meet kp customer requirements.
  • Must demonstrate a collaborative leadership style which promotes teamwork and excellence
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS Power Point)
  • Knowledge and use of forecast & demand planning tools/software
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, complete deadlines on-time and maintain strong accuracy
  • Organizational Skills; Self-management
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management, including procurement, manufacturing, warehousing, and transportation.
  • Solid knowledge of Database software; ERP, Forecast planning, Inventory software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software
  • APICS or CPSM Certification a plus
  • Written and spoken German a plus
