kp is currently looking for a Product Manager Pharma for our Pharma, Health & Durables Division who will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous success of our Pharma business.  The Product Manager will strengthen our core business globally and also participate in key growth initiatives.  One key element of the role is Portfolio Management to reinforce our profitability across the entire product line.

 

The candidate is preferably located near a PHD site in Americas (Gordonsville, VA; Cotia/Brazil; Buenos Aires/Argentina or Mexico City/Mexico)  and be done hybrid/remotely. 

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilites:

  • Generate insights into market needs and customer goals via direct and indirect customer interaction as well as analysis of market research data.
  • Works closely with Business development to drives overall product strategy, research and development requirements, product innovation, development, and product positioning for new and emerging products.
  • Formulates product development objectives based on Voice of Customer / Market.
  • Commercial owner of Stage Gate process during for all phases of product development. Understands and builds commercialization strategy for all new products.
  • Provides product line expertise with respect to competitor’s product offerings and relative share of demand as well as produces competitive analysis materials comparing product with its key competitors.
  • Cooperates with Sales and Operations to understand technical capabilities to kp’s global manufacturing network and how to utilize it to the greatest benefit for customers and kp.
  • Facilitates, in conjunction with the Marketing and Communications teams, promotional activities including, but not limited to, Trade shows, Technical Symposia, Association presentations, as well as case histories, technical articles, communication briefs for all new products in the product line.

 

Who we are looking for:

You might be a match to this position if you have a Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S. – in business, marketing, sciences or engineering from four-year college or university) and two to three years’ experience in a related Industry (Plastics, Pharma); a MBA is a plus.

 

Knowledge, Competencies and Skills:

  • Experience in Portfolio Management, technical documentation, regulatory needs, sustainability certification in the Pharma space.
  • Experience in Managing technical and/or innovation projects in a manufacturing company.
  • Experience with Stage-Gate-Processes
  • Ability to analyze various data with Excel, especially Pivot functions.
  • Ability to communicate, open-mindedly, to be part of a cross functional global team.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Fluent language skills in English and Spanish
  • An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people from multiple cultures and at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills. 
  • A decisive individual who possesses a "big picture" perspective.
