Summary:

Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of coated and laminated films. Follows standard policies and procedures for managing custom ordered raw material inventory levels for KBF Manufacturing Facility.

                                                 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Execute the strategic vision for KBF production and ensure alignment with the KBF’s operational and financial goals. 
  • Align with kp’s strategic compass and core behaviors:  Focus, Accountability, Respect, and Urgency.
  • Lead by example - promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Creates master schedule for KBF production to ensure customer orders are shipped on time in full (OTIF).
  • Analyzes production specifications to determine plant capacity.
  • Calculate, sequence, dispatch, and release orders to SAP to download to BDE shop floor system.
  • Procures material from vendors to supply KBF Manufacturing facility.
  • Orders and maintains inventory levels of raw materials, specifically kpA base film and Honeywell Aclar laminate.
  • Processes orders and transactions in SAP for weekly schedules.
  • Ensures all customer shortages/overages are processed in a timely manner.
  • Maintains an accurate level of PVC and finished goods stock.
  • Ensures that all materials requiring quality inspection are expedited when necessary to meet production requirements.
  • Attends daily production meetings to facilitate smooth operation of weekly schedules.
  • Maintains master Data in SAP, creates materials and works with SAP key user to maintain SAP planning tables.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Education and/or Experience:                                                       

High School Diploma or equivalency; Associate’s Degree preferred; five to eight years related experience and/or training in a plastics/polymer manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Intermediate experience with MS Office products, SAP and BDE.
