We're on the lookout for a Business Development Manager to fuel our long-term growth in the food packaging sector. The focus? Identifying and securing new business in dairy, produce, and pet food markets, particularly in rigid film packaging.

 

How Success looks like in this role:

  • Opportunities gained with new prospects.
  • Generation of active proposals.
  • Generation of product trials.
  • Conversion of Opportunities and Trials into new business.
  • Annual growth of 2,000 metric tons of rigid film business.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Identify, prioritize, and initiate growth opportunities.
  • Develop value propositions for prospecting, including pricing.
  • Prospect top accounts, present a solid business case, and drive projects to closure and onboarding.
  • Coordinate handover to the Key Account Manager for long-term support.
  • Maintain and communicate market and customer intelligence.

 

Qualifications:

  • Self-starter, initiative-driven.
  • Preferred degree in Packaging, Engineering, Chemistry, or Sales; experience in lieu considered.
  • Proficiency in Excel and CRM/Salesforce.
  • Proven track record in account penetration and sales growth.
  • Sales Management and/or Product Manager experience is advantageous.
  • Essential experience in food packaging sales, with a focus on the target markets.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Self-motivated to identify our next best customer.
  • 50% travel expected, remote position (USA/Canada), ideally in the Midwest or Northeast near a major airport.
