This position is responsible for achieving the sector’s revenue and margin targets within the area of responsibility—in this case, the entire Decorative sector, with a focus on the DACH and Eastern Europe regions. The incumbent develops and implements customer plans and strategies within the area of responsibility and maintains relationships with customers and industry partners in the sales territory. In addition, “back-selling” kp products to kitchen and furniture manufacturers is a key aspect of this role. The role is fully remote and can be based anywhere in Germany.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements customer service plans to achieve industry- and region-specific goals.
- Prepares and coordinates budgets within the area of responsibility and ensures appropriate measures are taken in the event of variances between target and actual figures.
- Closely monitors and manages the balance between sales and margins to maximize contribution margin growth.
- Evaluates market analyses to identify customer needs, price lists, and discount rates.
- Actively manages order entry and the order backlog.
- Is responsible for the opportunity pipeline and ensures a sufficient conversion rate.
- Monitors and evaluates competitors’ activities and products.
- Ensures that customer-related information is recorded completely and in a timely manner in the CRM system, e.g., transparency regarding the KP share of the customer budget and competitors’ deliveries to customers.
- Conducts business meetings with customers and maintains relationships.
- Leads negotiations and the conclusion of contracts with customers in collaboration with their supervisor.
- Represents the company by participating in industry events, including trade shows, customer/supplier events, and other networking opportunities.
- Depending on the organizational structure and current resource allocation, also supports marketing and product-related activities.
- Cross-selling of kp products to kitchen and furniture manufacturers
- Industry contacts in the DACH decoration market
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a business-related field, or 5+ years of relevant professional experience in the decorative film industry.
- Analytical and strategic skills that enable both clear communication of results and the ability to engage the right business units
- A highly dynamic, persuasive, and empathetic personality
- Understanding of markets, customers, design, and operational systems
- Proficiency in Salesforce, PriceFX, and SAP
- Fluency in German and English
- Willingness to travel frequently as required by the position
- Experience in identifying customer needs and future opportunities.
- Excellent sales experience with in-depth knowledge of the decorative film market.
