As a Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and fostering the growth of our customer accounts within your portfolio. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and develop new business opportunities, while also expanding and managing relationships within existing customer organisations. The goal is to facilitate cross-selling, drive expansion, and contribute to the overall growth of our business.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop the overall Account Portfolio, setting and achieving objectives.
  • Conduct market research to enhance market penetration and identify opportunities for increased sales.
  • Establish and maintain effective systems with customers to improve the reliability of sales forecasts.
  • Develop and implement systems and processes to efficiently manage and resolve customer service issues, leveraging external relationships and internal business capabilities.
  • Facilitate the development and maintenance of effective working relationships between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Adhere to and maintain company commercial processes using specified tools and systems (Salesforce/NPPI/NOC/PFX).
  • Manage specific nominated projects.
  • Collate and analyze market data to inform strategic decisions.

 

Functional Knowledge and Technical Skills:

  • Sales/Marketing experience, preferably in an FMCG environment.
  • Strong numeracy, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make informed business decisions in complex situations.
  • Project management skills.
  • Relationship-building and influence in a cross-functional and matrix environment.

/Qualifications, Experience and Key Competencies:

  • Proficient in IT skills, including CRMs (preferably Salesforce), Windows NT, MS Office, Lotus Notes, Excel, Access Database, and Power BI.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, time-management, and attention to detail.
  • Numeracy and proficiency in data manipulation and management.
  • Analytical skills and the ability to convey insights through data.
  • Financial acumen.
  • Ability to make sound business decisions in complex situations.
