Purpose of Job:
This role is responsible for covering holiday periods and stepping up to support with the running of the line, flexibility is needed as may be required to work in PET. Duties will include undertaking packaging, Quality checks, sampling, wrapping and moving of finished product whilst ensuring material is stored and protected to maintain the quality of product and maintaining hygiene and cleanliness within the area.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Safety, health and environment:
- Complying with statutory regulations and the stipulations of the management system for occupational safety, the environment and health;
- Avoiding occupational health and safety risks and dealing with or reporting breaches;
- Actively reporting near-accidents

- Monitoring and actively ensuring quality, deadlines, quantities and costs are in line with the customer’s order;
- Planning, sticking to and safeguarding campaigns, production sequences and speeds with the aim of achieving optimum stock levels and throughput times
Continuous improvement:
- Initiating and independently pursuing improvement measures (RIGHT, lean, kpCI);
- Understanding/identifying waste and specifying and tracking corrective measures;
- Safeguarding sustainability through internal/external audits;
- Applying and setting an example for lean and Six Sigma tools in day-to-day life (everyday business)
Resource and capacity management:
- Actively managing resources such as personnel, plants, materials, etc. with the aim of ensuring optimum and cost-effective overall performance;
- Regular joint S&OP resource planning
Key Performance Indicators (KPI):
- Understanding indicators and what they mean;
- Measuring and evaluating key performance indicators on a daily basis (target/actual comparison);
- Identifying deviations, analyzing causes and initiating appropriate measures in order to achieve the company’s targets;
Work experience:
- Experience in Mixing, Granulation or other Utility Operations would be a distinct advantage.
