Position Overview:
Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a dynamic, high-impact role where you can truly make a difference? We’re seeking an HR Business Partner to lead the HR function at our manufacturing site in Crumlin, operating independently on-site while being part of a wider divisional HR team.
This is a key opportunity to shape the site’s culture, enhance employee engagement, and drive HR strategies that align with business objectives. Partnering closely with the Site Manager, you will take the lead on industrial relations, ensuring a proactive and strategic approach to maintaining a positive working environment.
Beyond the site, you’ll contribute to division-wide HR projects, working alongside the Food Packaging HR Leadership Team. Your expertise in people data will be instrumental in providing insights that drive strategic, data-led decisions, and you’ll play a crucial role in coordinating annual HR processes across the division.
Key Responsibilities:

HR Business Partnering: Partner with senior leadership on site to develop and execute a HR plan that supports business objectives and drive continuous improvement across the site, whilst all the time striving to make the site a great place to work.

Employee Relations: Provide guidance and resolution on employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies. Foster a positive work environment by addressing concerns and promoting open communication. Along with the site manager own the relationship with the trade unions, and working to build positive relations to foster a collaborative work environment

Talent Management: Oversee recruitment and/or working with the group talent acquisition team, ensuring we have the right people in the right place at the right time. Support leadership in succession planning, career development, and performance management.

Training & Development: Working with the site leadership team, to identify training needs and opportunities for skill development. Facilitate training programs and work with managers to ensure a competent and agile workforce. Lead an agenda in upskilling people managers in HR and people management essentials across the UK

Performance Management: Coach leaders in effective performance review systems, supporting in people managers upskilling, compliance to process and improvement plans where required.

HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with employment laws, internal policies and internal / external audits. Keeping up-to-date with relevant changes in employment legislation.

Change Management: Act as a change agent in the implementation of organizational changes, ensuring smooth transitions, both in changes at a site level and divisionally.

Turning data into insight: Analyze HR data to recommend improvements and changes to the business. in workforce planning, including capacity, skills gaps, and employee retention.

Culture & Engagement: Working with the senior management team on creating and maintaining a great place to work where individuals can thrive, where teamwork, collaboration and continuous improvement is recognised

Health & Safety: Collaborate with the HSE team and senior management to ensure we promote a safe and well-being-focused workplace.
Qualifications and Skills:

Experience: Several years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in an HR Business Partner role within a manufacturing environment.

Expertise: Strong understanding of employment law, industrial relations, employee relations, and HR compliance within the manufacturing sector.

Leadership: Proven ability to influence senior managers and drive HR initiatives in a stand-alone environment.

Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to navigate complex HR challenges.

Change Management: Experience in driving change initiatives within a manufacturing setting.

SAP/HRIS Proficiency: Experience with HR software systems (success factors, power BI, etc.)

Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment, often working independently.
Working Conditions:

Full-time, predominately an on-site role with flexibility to work from home.

Occasional travel to other company locations as needed.
