Operation Manager under the direction of the FP NA Operations Support Director, responsible for effectively planning, directing and coordinating all operations in our Beaver, WV plant. Through delegation of responsibility and assignment of duties to managers and supervisors, achieves efficient and economical operation of the plant, conforming with the established goals and objectives to accomplish corporate profit, growth and investment return.
Operation Manager manages all activities related to production by performing the following essential tasks and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.
HSE
Maintain high standards of occupational safety and industrial hygiene
Ensure the Health & Safety of employees and visitors to the sites
Prioritize actions based on risk analyzes and monitoring
Participate and carry out accident investigations
Responsible for program 5 S
Ensure compliance with all established safety rules.
QUALITY
Drive the resolution of customer complaint issues an ensure corrective actions deployment.
Apply and enforce HACCP and SQF procedures
Assure quality best practices
PRODUCTIVITY
Develop and maintain manufacturing operations plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, and production costs.
Work closely with maintenance to improve machine reliability and maintenance issues.
Coordinate manufacturing activities with all other organizational and supplier functions in order to achieve optimal production and use of human resources, machinery and equipment.
Ensure that all affected employees know and adhere to company, government and customer policies, procedures and regulations.
Provide advice for the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material requirements, subcontracting requirements, facility requirements, as well as tooling and equipment requirements.
Contribute to the development of product strategy, research and development of new and emerging products.
Lead visionary approaches to transforming production scheduling processes in order to meet customer and operational needs in a transient work environment.
Create, analyze and modify site budgets to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Establishing priorities and business needs within the teams across multiple functions.
Delivering products according to plan.
Manage multi-disciplined teams including training, discipline, development and morale.
Accurate budgetary control, forecasting and management.
Lead by example to promote a culture of accountability, integrity, continuous improvement, HSSE, and quality; active champion of the company’s values, mission and vision
Drive culture change in terms of safety, quality, and operational performance at the site.
Lead stakeholders of HSE, operations, engineering, planning, maintenance, supply chain, quality, and human resources to positively impact their functional areas and drive continuous improvement.
Oversees and participates in the interview/selection process of hiring. Assures a safe working environment for employees and secures necessary training to meet needs and regulations.
Maintains ongoing and scheduled employee appraisal processes including wage considerations, promotions and job transfers.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and COMPENTENCIES
- Engineering degree prefered (any combination of experience / training will be considered);
- 6 years of experience in a manufacturing and unionized environment.
- Experience management.
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of SAP.
- Sence of Organization.
