Job Title: Electrical/Electronic Shift Technician
 

Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant equipment with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. This role requires proficiency in electrical systems, hands-on technical skills, and effective communication within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize the SAP maintenance work order system to document, track, and manage maintenance activities efficiently.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to ensure clear understanding of maintenance issues and solutions.
• Perform high-quality repairs on plant equipment without taking shortcuts, ensuring long-term reliability.
• Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment as required.
• Properly and safely use all types of hand and power tools necessary for maintenance tasks.
• Manage personal time effectively to complete assigned tasks within scheduled timeframes.
• Proactively seek information and solutions regarding maintenance problems to ensure timely resolution.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment independently.
• Focus on customer satisfaction by ensuring equipment is maintained and repaired to meet operational needs.
• Work from schematics, drawings, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose and repair electrical systems.
• Complete all required job skill training and certifications for Electrical/Electronic Technician roles.
• Assist shift mechanics with basic mechanical repairs to plant equipment as needed.
• Use all electrical test equipment properly and safely to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Share technical knowledge openly and collaborate effectively with team members to promote continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with SAP maintenance work order systems.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to make quality repairs and adhere to safety standards.
• Valid forklift operation certification and safe driving skills.
• Competency in using various hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment.
• Ability to interpret schematics, drawings, and technical manuals.
• Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
• Experience in electrical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Completion of Electrical/Electronic Technician training and certification.
