The Continuous Improvement Manager is the local champion of the continuous improvement and/or business excellence (BEX) initiatives for the site, as well the main point of contact of the team with the KP Continuous Improvement community. The Continuous Improvement Manager will be responsible for capturing opportunities and addressing solutions, finding the balance between interim and long-term solution for continuous growth of operations performance for the Beaver, WV and sister sites. Other duties include, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities

• Local deployment of Continuous Improvement and/or Business Excellence initiatives, managing the local portfolio of improvement initiatives and reporting financial benefits.
• Identify and address local opportunities to drive improvement of OEE.
• Deliver locally CI Workshops/trainings as 5S, Kaizen, etc., and coach teams until the project finalization.

Key Competencies

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related technical field (e.g. chemical, industrial engineering, mechanical, etc.)
• Minimum 5 years of professional work experience in manufacturing roles
• Strong practical experience in continuous improvement methodologies especially Lean and Six Sigma (Greenbelt or above), being able to lead small teams since the identification to implementation of improvement initiatives as 5S, SMED, Kaizen and Problem Solving.
• Strong problem solving skills, being able to analyze and prioritize actions according the impact to the organization.
• Able to lead cross-functional projects and communicate across different levels of the organization (Operations to High level Management).
• Computer and analytical skills required with solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (especially Excel) and statistical methods, such as control charts, process capability, graphical analysis, and others
