We are currently seeking a Quality Engineer to play a pivotal role in our St. Helens team. Your contributions will be crucial in supporting the manufacturing team and ensuring that our products meet customer requirements and exceed expectations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Problem Resolution Expert: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve product/service defects using Lean Six Sigma techniques and quality tools to achieve Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  2. Internal Audits: Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with systems and applicable legislation, maintaining our commitment to quality.
  3. Sample Library: Develop and maintain a comprehensive comparison samples library, readily available for use in manufacturing.
  4. Project Excellence: Identify and lead project work within the Quality Department, constantly seeking opportunities to improve standards and provide the necessary support and training to resolve issues effectively.
  5. Quality Ambassador: Offer expert advice and assistance in quality-related matters, both internally and externally. Act as the quality representative and lead cross-functional teams when required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Ideally, a qualification in a Quality or Science-based subject.
  • Knowledge of investigation tools such as Lean Six Sigma/Kaizen.

 

Required Skills:

  • Technical: Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and problem-solving techniques.
  • Attitude: Assertive with a positive attitude, always seeking opportunities to drive improvement.
  • Team Player: Excellent coaching and team working skills.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Safety Awareness: A strong commitment to health and safety.

 

Functional Knowledge:

  • Driving License.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Tools (Windows/Excel).
  • Knowledge of quality standards such as BRCGS & ISO 9001.
