As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Project Manager to join our team and lead our project closure process.

 

The role reports to the Operations Director for Rigid and Flexibles and it is an initial 18 months Fixed Term Contract. However, this opportunity may very well become permanent, depending on the business’s needs.

 

The Project Manager position can be based in Spain (close to Barcelona) or Portugal (close to Porto).

 

Overall Goal:

Your mission is to provide a strategic overview, management, and seamless implementation of the project closure process. You'll be responsible for reporting the current status to the SteerCo.

 

Key Duties:

  1. Lead Project Transfer Team: Work closely with a dedicated team to ensure the smooth transfer of projects, keeping timelines and costs in check, and ensuring no service interruptions for our valued customers.
  2. Strategic Planning: Prepare and develop a comprehensive strategic plan for project transfer, encompassing all functions and activities necessary for successful completion.
  3. Team Leadership: Provide guidance, support, and leadership to the Project Transfer team, ensuring they execute the strategic plan on time according to the defined critical path timeline.
  4. Performance Assessment: Regularly assess progress in each activity against quality, volume, time, and cost metrics. Proactively manage related risks to ensure project success.
  5. Project Management Framework: Establish and maintain an effective project management framework to ensure a smooth project transfer implementation. Keep the SteerCo informed about project status and risks.

 

Experience Requirements:

  • Experience: You should have a proven track record of managing complex projects in agile environments. Work Council negotiations related experience is a strong asset.
  • Stakeholder Management: Demonstrate your ability to excel in stakeholder management, even in sensitive situations. Strong interpersonal skills are a must.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: You should have a history of working seamlessly across organizational boundaries and coordinating diverse teams effectively.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize, manage time efficiently, handle multiple tasks effectively, and meet deadlines. Adaptability in the face of changing work programs is crucial.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in English and the local language are essential for success.
